All he needs to do is to start the surgery. He said,

” Hello everyone this is a case of pneumonectomy and I am chief surgeon David I am going to start this now ”.

Two of Bens interns also join the surgery. They saw Era as the assistant and started talking to each other. David saw them and asked furiously

” if you don want to concentrate on the surgery just get lost ”.

They stopped talking and started concentrating on the surgery. Now the door of the operation theatre opened and another doctor joined them for the surgery.

It was Dr. Jenny. the moment Era saw Dr. Jenny she was devastated, she tumbled once and then avoided looking at her she was so frightened that she couldn hold it in.

David already started the surgery, Era couldn stand there and asked to leave, to drink water. David stared at her and nodded his head. She went outside and drank water to calm herself.

Now that she was in Evas body, she realized that Jenny couldn recognize her. Jenny was always a bully for her, she used to make her life hell. Era was a simple girl so she couldn stand back for herself and always got bullied.

After a small break, she was ready to face Jenny and to attend the surgery, so she went in and stood in her place.

The surgery went very well and Era assisted David brilliantly, he called Jenny to assist him just in case, Eva would make mistakes, but surprisingly it was Era, not Eva, who was outstanding in her work.

She hardly made any mistakes and that impressed David. He was so shocked that how could a first-year resident assist him so well without making any mistakes? It reminded him of Era, his student whom he used to admire.

After her performance, everyone in the operation theatre was impressed by Era.

Dave, the anesthesiologist present there, complimented her that she would be a very good doctor in the future. He was one of the oldest staff at the hospital so she was very happy to hear that.

David left the operation theatre after giving the instructions to the terms of standing there to dress up the wound and everyone was dispatched.

When David returned to his office, Ben was already waiting there for him, he asked

”How was your surgery today? I heard it was a complicated one ” David replied,

” yes it was, but it went well. I am glad that the patient will be alright ”.

Ben was looking around as if he was searching for something. David found it weird and asked him

” Ben do you want something..? what are you looking for

Ben said

no ..thats nothing, well I just saw your room is good, the decoration is nice… ”

suddenly David asked

” and my assistant.. ”

Ben said

” Good… hmm!! what do you mean ?? I didn get it. ”

David laughed and said

” it seems like you are interested in that intern, so it was her you were talking about.. yesterday. well, I think its a good choice…she can be a good doctor, but sometimes I find her to be clumsy and sometimes she is outstanding. I can decide where she belongs,

Ben was keenly listening and said

” to be honest, I don know why but I keep getting attracted to her, shes different, and you were right about her, she was superb today, you know there was an emergency patient admitted today, he was brain hemorrhage patient, 1-minute delay in diagnosis and we would have lost him …. and the main thing is, the one who diagnosed him was Eva, I think she has a future in neurology.. ”

David starred at him and said

” Oh, so the other day you were here to ask for my intern…but you couldn say .. look I don know what happened in the morning but from what I saw in the OR she has a very good scope in thoracic surgeries, and I want her to focus… anyway she is still my intern ”

.Ben kept silent as if he was caught,

” yes .. right I know, but well be changing interns next week..hmn ..then thats fine for me, ”

he said and left the room laughing sarcastically.
