27 Drunk Jiang Juan
Since everyone was a student and had to go to class the next day, Bai Guang booked a table in a well-reputed restaurant near the school.
The cake was ordered early, and not long after Bai Guang and the others arrived, the cake was delivered.
Bai Guang didn’t invite too many people, only those who played together on weekdays, or to be more accurate, they were all brothers who fought together during the holiday.
Jiang Juan was definitely reliable, as Xie Jingxian really went together with them after school, but he didn’t stay for too long, as Aunt Rong still needed people there to help her.
Aunt Rong usually takes care of Xie Jingxian a lot.
He can’t take advantage of the other party’s good-heartedness, that is be lazy, and get paid for nothing.
So after Bai Guang made a wish, blew out the candles and distributed the cake, Xie Jingxian left.
Before leaving, Xie Jingxian glanced at Jiang Juan, and Jiang Juan smiled and said, “Go, I’ll find you when this is over.”
Xie Jingxian hummed, thought for a moment, and said, “Don’t drink.”
Today was Bai Guang’s birthday, which is a happy event, plus the end of the exam, which meant double happiness.
Dong Gao, Zhu Xu and the others ordered a bunch of beer, white wine, and red wine.
It seemed that they really wanted to relax.
Jiang Juan didn’t expect that Xie Jingxian still remembered the matter of his stomach and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll be in limits.
I’ll go look for you at Aunt Rong’s in a while, and then we’ll go home together.”
Xie Jingxian nodded, and then said bye to Bai Guang, Wang Tuo and the others, and left the box.
After getting along during this period of time, Bai Guang, Dong Gao and the others were no longer so afraid of Xie Jingxian, but Xie Jingxian’s identity as the first in grade was still there, because of which everyone unconsciously labelled him as a good student.
When he was there although the atmosphere was also very good, but in the end they still did not dare to completely let go and play to their hearts content.
Now that Xie Jingxian left, these people in the box seemed to have broken through the seal, going completely crazy.
Although Jiang Juan didn’t like wine, he hadn’t touched it for a long time, and the atmosphere was really good today, so he drank a little after everyone’s persuasion.
But once you start drinking, you simply can’t stop.
After eating a meal for more than two hours, he threw his promise to Xie Jingxian to the back of his head, whether it was white wine or red wine, he drank all of them together.
As a result, he ended up drinking too much.
Not only Jiang Juan, but even good students Wang Tuo, Zhu Xu and the others drank too much.
Bai Guang, the host, wanted to cry but had no tears.
With the help of Dong Gao, he finally helped everyone into the taxi.
When Bai Guang went to Jiang Juan he still had a bit of consciousness.
Jiang Juan said, “Go help others, I’ll help myself.” He staggered to his feet, but before he could take a step, he sat back down again.
Jiang Juan pressed his forehead and said, “Dizzy.”
Bai Guang said, “I’ll pour you a cup of water.”
Just as he finished talking, Jiang Juan’s cell phone rang, but he sat still, letting the cell phone on the table keep ringing.
Finally Bai Guang had to remind him, “Phone.”
Jiang Juan said, “Then take it.”
Bai Guang: “…”
He immediately understood, although Jiang Juan looked quite sober, but in fact he was already drunk, no, he was very much drunk.
Bai Guang glanced at the words ‘Xie Jingxian’ displayed on Jiang Juan’s mobile phone, and pressed the answer button nervously.
Xie Jingxian’s voice came out through the receiver, a little hoarse, but still very pleasant.
Xie Jingxian asked, “Have you finished eating?”
Bai Guang took a deep breath and replied, “Done eating but Jiang Juan is drunk.”
Xie Jingxian paused and said after a while, “I see, I’ll pick him up.”
Xie Jingxian came very quickly.
When he arrived, he saw Jiang Juan sitting on the sofa in the box, with his head bowed slightly, motionless, as if he was asleep.
Hearing the footsteps, Bai Guang stood up and said, “Dong Guo had sent everyone else back.”
Xie Jingxian nodded and walked towards Jiang Juan.
Feeling someone standing in front of him, Jiang Juan raised his head.
Xie Jingxian looked into his eyes and asked softly, “Do you know who I am?”
Jiang Juan narrowed his eyes and looked at Xie Jingxian, it took a while to say his name.
Bai Guang breathed a sigh of relief beside him and said, “He can still recognize people, it seems that he is not that badly drunk.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang Juan turned to him and asked “Xu Rang, didn’t you go to look for Xiao YeYe? Why are you here?”
Bai Guang: “…”
Xie Jingxian pulled Jiang Juan up from the sofa, then turned to Bai Guang and said, “Then we will go back first.”
Bai Guang nodded hurriedly, “Okay, it’s too late, I’m also going back.”
The three walked out of the restaurant, and after watching Xie Jingxian and Jiang Juan leave, Bai Guang also took a taxi home.
Jiang Juan’s wine holding capacity was still pretty good.
If he drinks too much, he won’t make a noise, won’t make a fuss, and won’t go crazy.
He just sits quietly.
He will do whatever Xie Jingxian asks him to do.
Honestly, although his movements were still a little slow, but it was still ok, just he looked a bit funny.
Xie Jingxian opened the door and handed Jiang Juan a pair of slippers to put on.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Juan stared at the slippers in his hands for a long time, and then stretched out his hands to drill them into the mouth of the slippers.
Aware of Jiang Juan’s intentions, Xie Jingxian had no choice but to withdraw his hands.
He looked down at Jiang Juan’s feet.
After entering the door, Jiang Juan had kicked off his shoes as well as his socks.
At this time, he was stepping on the floor with his bare feet, the color of his feet almost merging with the white floor.
Although the temperature in October was not too cold, it was still a little cold to step on the ground with bare feet at night.
Looking at him, Xie Jingxian sighed, then bent down, held Jiang Juan’s ankle, and helped him put on his slippers.
After changing his shoes, Xie Jingxian pushed Jiang Juan’s shoulder, “Go take a bath.”
Jiang Juan nodded, but went straight to the sofa and laid down.
He rubbed his forehead with one of his hands and said, “Xie Jingxian, I have a headache.”
Jiang Juan has been with Xie Jingxian for the past few days, because of which Xie Jingxian’s name is what he calls the most.
Now that he is drunk, he still calls out that familiar name the moments he opens his mouth.
Xie Jingxian paused, perhaps because of drinking too much alcohol, Jiang Juan’s voice was a little hoarse, sounding a bit vague, like the person speaking was depending on the other.
Xie Jingxian said, “You still know that you will have a headache, even then you drank.” He went into the kitchen and poured a glass of warm water after washing his hands.
After drinking half a glass of water, Jiang Juan felt more comfortable, and closed his eyes, feeling a little drowsy.
When Xie Jingxian saw that he was lying still again, he knew that he was completely drunk, so he twisted the towel and simply wiped his face and hands.
Xie Jingxian sent Jiang Juan back to his room, watched him lay down and covered him with a quilt before going to shower.
When Xie Jingxian came out of the shower and went back to his room, he saw a big lump of the quilt formed on his bed, and when he walked over to take a look, he realized that it was Jiang Juan who had come in at some point and was lying on his bed.
Xie Jingxian patted Jiang Juan on his face and said, “Get up, you are sleeping in the wrong room.”
Jiang Juan was annoyed by the noise, as he opened his eyes and pointed at the table against the wall, “No, I am right.
I read on that table every day.” After he finished saying that he rolled the quilt and closed his eyes again.
Xie Jingxian looked at Jiang Juan and then at the table in the room, and after giving it a little thought he understood what was going on.
The room he cleaned up for Jiang Juan was simply used for sleeping.
After taking a bath, he used to directly turn off the lights and go to bed as soon as he entered the room.
So Jiang Juan probably hadn’t paid much attention to the furnishings in the room.
On the contrary, Xie Jingxian slept in this room.
Jiang Juan had always been reviewing here at night.
He used to stay here for a long time, and even when he was resting, Jiang Juan would still walk around the room sometimes so he was naturally more familiar with this room.
Presumably Jiang Juan sobered up a bit while he was taking the bath, and found out that his room was unfamiliar, so he ran here.
It’s unreasonable to talk sense into a drunk person, so Xie Jingxian didn’t say anything, instead he turned off the light and went to sleep next door.
After several days of exams and work, Xie Jingxian laid in bed and felt tired, both physically and mentally, but there was another feeling in his heart that he couldn’t put into words, which made him not feel as empty as before.
The soundproofing of the old house was not good, so Xie Jingxian could still hear the sound of Jiang Juan turning his body around from the next door, and these subtle movements unexpectedly reassured him.
In this house, he was no longer the only one experiencing this cold.
The sleeping Jiang Juan didn’t know that in such a silent night, the system panel, representing Xie Jingxian’s favorability and trust in him, had increased by five points.
