The Two Set Dungeon

Chapter 5 (Full)

Zion Pov:

We started on our first room, the boss room. We decided to have an upgraded stone Automaton, for now, as the boss. The room ended up being fairly large and flat space. Next we made a maze room. The maze walls were made out of stone that was as flat as we could make it to prevent cheating. Finally we made a forest type room with a small river running through it as our first room past the entrance.

We then began to populate our rooms. The first room got wood Automa, which gathers in groups of 2 or 3, patrolling around the forest. They
e fairly slow but it should work for now.

”What should we do for the maze room? ” Niel questions

”How about animal automa? We could put some birds to swoop at people trying to climb and put mice and mice holes throughout the maze to annoy and confuse people. ”

We quickly redesigned our maze room putting in grasses along the floor and walls to hide the mice, along with tall trees for the birds to watch from. Along with that we altered the maze to add an enclosed clearing, with its entrance hidden behind vines on the wall, for the purpose of a training or rest area for Sen and the other Automatons. We first put down the mice, letting them scatter about the maze then we put in a variety of birds. Once we released the first bird we got a notification

Food Chain Established,

With a food chain all automa involved will get a 5% damage boost along with 2% recovery while in battle increase, to gain more boosts please expand the food chain, in a food chain prey animals will act as sentries during invasions, alerting predators of invaders location at the present point in time.

”Nice, we could probably build several rooms about just this mechanic, like think about just having a few creatures we got… ”

Neil Pov:

Zion continued on like that for a few hours, it was quite pleasant to listen to, not that I understood most of it but I could feel the joy about getting to explore something complex like this radiating off of him. Once Zion finished we added our boss, Kensun. He is a 6 foot tall stone mannequin with a large war hammer in his hands. At the beginning we thought we might have messed something up because he appeared to be just a normal statue in the middle of the boss room but when we ordered him to attack, he swiftly swung his war hammer into the ground nearly leaving a dent. Once he was done he returned to the pose he started with.

Finally we built the entrance, first we opened up to the outside the we created a sheet of marble, which we found while excavating the dungeon, leading from our entrance to the opposite shore of the river. As we were about to continue we got our first visitors.

Five large glowing bunnies rushed over the marble and into our dungeon. Panicked I looked over to Abby a hissing sound came from their mouth ”Thats what I forgot, magical beasts will also enter our dungeon for the purpose of attacking and consuming the dungeon core for the mana stored inside ”

Im pretty sure Zion was about to scream when our attention was once again returned to the invaders. They soared pass our first room, the slow Automa, only able to catch two which fell into the river. We managed to get two more in the maze room, one that was slightly injured got taken out by the mice and the other was taken out by the birds, the last rushed into our boss room. Its speed caused the fight, well more like a game of whack a bun, to be extended by a long time. The Glow-bun kept zooming past as Kensun tried to hit it. But as all things, the game ended with Kensun managing to smash the bunny right on the head with a shot of his warhammer.

You have unlocked a new Blueprint.

You have unlocked the blueprint for the animal automation dire glow rabbit, it can now be made under the Animal automa option.

Zion Pov:

Seeing how effective these bunnies were at navigating our maze we decided to make a small contingent of them, not only because they are fast but because the glow of the rabbit caused a near blinding light in some sections of the maze. As we create the metal rabbits I feel a part of the mana being pulled more than the rest.

”Hey, Neil… could we make a unique one of these? I have a theory and the greater amount of mana will help me test it. ”

”Sure but I get to name the new Glow-Bun. ” He quickly replied

So we both focused on creating a unique version of the Glow-Buns, as Neil liked to call them. Very soon I felt the pull of mana and once again there was a part of the mana being pulled more than the rest. As we finished our new creation my mind was hyper focused on this mana, I pulled it out of my gem. A bright light radiated from the mana ”Ah HA ”
