ns near where Nigel is hiding himself. A bullet scraped on his left cheek, making him more alarmed with the number of people after him. He quickly runs away, making the others chase after him further within the forest, in there hell be able to finish them all off.

After the chase, the guards were shot one after another until the last one standing was the leading guard. ”YOU DAMN COWARD! SHOW YOURSELF AND FIGHT ME!! ” He was already hopeless and desperate since his group is gone.

In such short time, he never expect to lose so many people at once.

Nigel finally appeared infront of him. The guard aimed his gun towards the assassin, but as he pulled the trigger, he realized that there was no bullet left after shooting aimlessly earlier. ”Why?… WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US!? HOW CAN YOU KILL SO EASILY!? ”

”… ”

”…THE PEOPLE YOU KILLED!! All of them… they have families, loved ones back at their homes, unaware of their death!… They reached this far only to BE KILLED BY THE LIKES OF YOU!? HAVE YOU NOT THINK OF THAT!? HOW CAN YOU BE SO CRUEL! ” It felt unusual for Nigel to let the man continue spouting words. He can stop listening, can this be it?

A feeling of compassion?

No. Thats not a thing for assassins such as himself. He shakes his head and approached the man while taking out the knife from his pocket. ”I know, life can be so unfair… but you know, only those who are competent in life survives in this cruel world. ”

”YOU DARE SAY MY MEN ARE INCOMPETENT!? ”

”Exactly. ” He then stabs the knife on the mans chest, and waits to pull it out when he no longer breathes.

Now that hes finished dealing with the guards, he finds his way back to the real target. Then he happen to stumble upon something he didn expect. It turns out his intuition was right. He glared at the man who was holding the targets head.

”So, you were sent to kill him too? ” Nigel asked the other assassin.

”Yeah. Thanks for making things easier for me. ” The other chuckled.

It pissed Nigel off seeing someone steal his job from him. The two fell silent for a few seconds until Nigel made the first move. He dashed towards the enemy and managed to leave a cut on the enemys arm that dodged his attack. ”Impressive, no one ever managed to cut me before. ”

”Hah! Wait until I get ahold of you and dismember your body. ”

”How brutal! But I ain playing with you. ” The enemy stepped back and smirks at Nigel. ”Maybe next time. See ya! ”

Nigel tried to chase after the guy, but after realizing that he only has a few minutes left to complete his task. He goes back to the targets place and burned every possible evidence. He somehow made everything look like it happened accidentally, and after a while, another carriage showed up at the scene and found the made up accident.
