Ch 40

10-12 minutes 22.07.2022

Suddenly, the corner of madam’s eyes turned red.
Dry, cold hands crossed the table.
Jun-Kyung reflexively grabbed her hand.
As if waiting, madam stroked Junkyung’s hand with both her hands.

“I was strangely attracted to you for a long time ago.
Executive Director Min brought in a good person”.

“Madam is so nice to me that I….”

“Mother.”

“Yes?”

“Now, you should call me mother, not madam.”

Being obsessed with titles was the same as Executive Director Min who did not have a drop of blood.

“Mother.”

“Yeah, that’s good to hear.
When you’re more comfortable, call me Mom.”

“Yes.”

Jun-Kyung couldn’t say no.
What a sneaky swindler.
Jun-Kyung was just apologetic and only lowered his head.

“You make decisions without listening to my opinions.” Madam directed towards Director Min.

“Why? You don’t like it?”

“It’s too sudden rather than hateful.
It’s out of proportion.”

“You used to say to not get married.
If there is someone who comes into such an unlucky family like this, you said I need to be grateful.
Where can I find a marriage like that?”

Madam was really the best at softly swearing.
The upper class with wealth and power rather cling to fortune and fate.
Maybe it’s because she meets so many people.
She has a strong tendency to depend on religion for mental stability.

In the case of Executive Director Min, although he was rejected every time because of his appearance and personality problems, there were constant marriage proposals.
But now that Jun-Kyung listened to madam’s story, it seemed that even the proposals had stopped.
In a chaebol family that is of a similar level, you wouldn’t want to give a precious daughter to a family in which the son screams and dies.

“Junkyung is not the type of person to go around and make trouble.
He’s a good, upright kid, at least where his parents don’t see him.” Jun-Kyung heard praise that he’s never heard of even from a mother who raised him from madam.
He felt embarrassed and apologetic.
In addition, the lies that have already been laid out stabbed at him.
His neck was burning, and his stomach was uncomfortable at the same time.
He drank the tea in a hurry and choked slightly.

“Cough.
Cough.”

“Are you okay?” Executive Director Min quickly held out his handkerchief.

The expression on madam’s face as she pulled out a tissue close to her was strange.
It was fun and fascinating, a common expression that’s made when looking at something that shouldn’t be seen.  Jun-Kyung’s face felt hot

“You are clumsy.”

Jun-Kyung was about to bow his head reflexively apologizing.

“Is it morning sickness?” Director Min barked.

Jun-Kyung turned his head towards the president and became stiff.

“What? What did you just say? Is he pregnant right now?”

Even the president, who had been consistent throughout with a rigid attitude, has turned into a middle-aged man who hears only the news of his grandchildren even if there are other sounds.
His astonished eyes stared at Jun-kyung piercingly.
Just as Executive Director Min shoots lasers, the chairman also seems to shoot lasers.

It’s something we will bring up eventually, so do we really need to notify in such a dramatic way? I said that you look like the main character of a drama… but you’re not really in a drama, are you?

These days, every now and then, it is said that you can be possessed.

Maybe it wasn’t that Jun-Kyung drank and had an accident that day, but rather jumped through the solid glass of the residential, collided with the floor and instantly died and took possession of this ridiculous weekend drama.
If he didn’t die instantly, he’d be lying in the intensive care unit in a brain-dead state.
Otherwise, there is no way to explain this situation.

“Really? Junkyung, are you pregnant?” Madam chimed in.

“Well….”

Jun-Kyung lifted his bare face for a moment and then dropped it back.
Executive Director Min rubbed his back as if worried. I don’t want you to do this.  Jun-Kyung quietly reached back and grabbed Director’s Min hand and pulled it down.

“It’s been four months.
I checked it at the hospital.”

As if waiting, Executive Director Min pulled out a small envelope from the inside pocket of his jacket and held it out.
It was an ultrasound picture.

“Oh my God!” Madam exclaimed.

“Let me see.” The president urgently tried to steal the ultrasound picture.
However, his wife quickly turned around and defended.
Madam looked closely at the blurred black and white picture and wiped the area where the fetus lays with her fingertips.

“Oh my gosh, you have hands and feet.”

“Let me see too.” The chairman, who couldn’t stand it, crawled up and came to his wife’s side.
He pulls his neck out like a younger brother watching his older brother play games.

He frowned, but it wasn’t because of his hatred, it was because of his presbyopia.
Madam, who scanned every part of the picture, belatedly handed it over to the president.

“Four months?” The chairman asked.

“Yes.” Director Min replied.

“Then the two of you on that date….” (T/N: maybe referring to the date they had at the hotel)

“How did that happen? I was gonna tell you when the relationship gets serious, but it was delayed due to various reasons.”

“I see.” A middle-aged woman with a strangely mixed expression of laughter and crying nodded slowly.
With her moist eyes, she stared into the air for a moment, then warmly looked at Jun-Kyung.

“As expected, you are a lucky charm.  There’s a slant in this slaughtered house thanks to our Junkyung.”

Jun-Kyung had nothing to say.
The lie he’s telling now is too big to say thank you for madam’s favorable view.
If madam is happy about the grandchildren without a drop of blood, imagine if she knows that the child who sits inside Jun-kyung is left by Hyun-woo…

Or maybe it would be better to tell the truth even now.
It’s right to talk before it becomes irreversible.
It is really the worst to hide the traces of a son who didn’t leave a body from such a good and benevolent person.
Even if he can’t be an adult, let’s not become trash.

It’s completely unpredictable what’s going to happen after he reveals it and maybe Jun-kyung’s life will take him to another strange world, but once he commits it, the guilt that grips his heart will be lessened.

Let’s not commit any more sins to the good wife.
Let’s not fool ourselves with fears.
Let’s live a decent life.

“Well, madam.”

“Yes, Jun-kyung.”

The wife, unable to hide her emotion, ran her fingers across her eyes.
As expected, it’s right to talk.
Jun-Kyung grabbed his trembling hand and squeezed it tightly.
He tightened his jaw and bit his lips.
It was time for him to take two low breaths and then raise his head.
A large hand gripped his determined wrist.

“We are going to have a ceremony before my child is born.
Because Jun-kyung is a man, he wants to avoid having a ceremony with his stomach out.”

“My child?”

The unbelievable exclamation came out of Junkyung’s mouth, not madam.
Cold, dark eyes glanced down at Jun-Kyung and turned towards the president.

“Otherwise, we are considering delaying the ceremony altogether and registering the marriage first instead.
What do you think about making an official announcement after the baby is born?”

“That’s not allowed.
No matter how much the world has changed, you have to raise the ceremony before you start living together.”

“Yes.
I thought you would say that, so I came to see you right away.”

“Hmm.” After much effort, the president clapped his neck with satisfaction.

“So good.
Where can there be a greater filial piety than this? I’m thankful that I’m healthy, but I’m glad to hear you have such good news.
I am proud of you both.” With sincere compliments, the mother laughed out loud.

Jun-Kyung still couldn’t close his mouth, which he had opened to speak.
Executive Director Min intervened at the perfect timing and blocked the opportunity to reveal the truth.

Is it because he knows? Or is it just a coincidence?

“By the way, Jun-kyung, what did your parents say? You didn’t come here without saying to them first, right?

“I stopped by two days ago to say hello.”

“Good job.
In the first place, you have to ask permission from your in-laws to do this.
Oh, is it different because you are a man? But also Omega.
Male Omegas are rare, so I’ll have to ask the monk first about how to do it right.
Is there a particular place where your parents go?”

“As far as I know, there is no special place, but are there any, Junkyung-ah?”

JunKkyung raised his head at the sudden use of a friendly name.
Min’s face did not show any changes.

How can a person be so indifferent? Doesn’t his conscience prick him if he claims that the dead brother’s child is his? Is he really a psychopath as he said? Or is he a sociopath of a similar case>

This is his last chance to redeem himself from becoming trash.
Like Director Min declared earlier, it’s necessary to declare a bombshell against Executive Director Min, and even the president and his wife.
However, Jun-Kyung’s mouth didn’t open.

Putting aside the personal conflict, Executive Director Min had hit the player, so changing the word here would be a direct challenge against him.
Jun-Kyung feels scared just by making eye contact, can he fight him head-on and win?

It seems that the confidence and challenging spirit built up through exercise melted away with the manifestation of Omega.
Cowardly enough, that’s was all Jun-Kyung could say.

“There is not.”

“Then can I ask this and that from the monk?”

“Maybe.”

“No, don’t ask him, you should ask the in-laws separately.” The president intervened.
The expression “in-law’s house” was so natural that it felt awkward.

“How about a meeting?”

“There hasn’t been any talk about it yet.” Director Min replied.

The president nodded his head and picked up the cell phone that he had thrown away.

“The date should be adjusted gradually.
But it can’t be too late.
As you said, you have to hurry to the ceremony before it gets too heavy.”

“There must be a lot to prepare.”

“You have to work hard.
Even though I have sent daughters several times, this is the first time for my son.
Aww, to do it without mistakes, seriously, Junkyung, are you okay? Isn’t this period called stabilization?”

Jun-kyung hesitated at the sudden question, and the answer, like before, went to Executive Director Min.
