THE ROYAL FAIRYTALE

Hazel calmly looks at everyone in the hall and tries to understand the different expressions in their gazes. ”Queen Marah was looking at her with obvious disgust and hatred, well she wasn surprised, she already knew what the womans reaction would be. Both the princess were looking at her with disgust and ridicule but she ignored it. The Kings gaze was indifferent and nonchalant but if one looked closely there was a flick of happiness and longing in his eyes. The Young Prince clearly looks happy since he was smiling from ear to ear, the Royal mother was definitely the happiest as she was crying and smiling at the same time. The one whose expression confused Hazel the most was the General, because he also looked very excited to see her,

”Shouldn he hate her if he is Queen Marahs father ”, Hazel thought and In the midst of her thoughts.

She felt someone touching her, she raises her head and saw the Royal Mother rubbing her hands while crying.

”Hello my dear, the high chief already introduced me right am your grandmother ” she said.

”Hello Grandmother ”, Hazel greeted she has always loved elders but she never had grandparents.

”Aigoo, such a sweet child. God bless you my dear ”

”You look just the way Astra looked when she was a child my dear, you are just a little bit darker than her ” the Royal mother said and smiled.

”I can see my little girl in you dear, but my girl died too early she couldn even live her life properly. There were so many things she wanted to do but she never got a chance too ” The Royal mother said and started crying.

”Please have a seat your Majesty, you can stand for long ” Sona said helping the Royal mother to a chair.

”Stop crying Grandma, my mother always says its a taboo for tears to come in the eyes of elders, elders should always smile because they already cried all their tears as kids ” Hazel knelt in front of the Royal mother and said while wiping her tears.

”Your mother taught you well my dear, whats your name ” the Royal mother asked

”Hazel ”, she replied

”Hazel, what a beautiful name ”,

”Princess Hazel Astra Salcharaz ”

”Have it written in the Royal family book General, the third princess of Lexan has been found ”

”Sure your Highness ”, The General replied.

”Hi ” a cute voice said

”Hello ” Hazel turned to the source of the voice and said to the Little Crown prince of Lexsn

”Wow, you are so beautiful ” the Crown Prince said

”The high chief just introduced me, do you remember what she called my name ”, he asked.

”Yes Prince Roshan ” Hazel replied smiling.

”I don have such a weak memory ”

”Nice, then can I call you Sister Hazel, thats how I call my elder sisters ”

”You can call me whatever you want ”, Hazel replied.

”Yay, you are so cute ”, Roshan said happily and hugged her.

”Your Highness, stop a crown Prince can hug women ”

Queen Marah reprimanded him.

”Leave him alone Marah, Hazel is his sister he can hug family members and friends just not strangers ”, the Royal mother said and Queen Marah snorted unhappily then murmured ”She is always correcting me ”.

”Come on, Hazel I will take you to your quarters ” The Royal mother said.

”Even I will come with ”, Roshan said and held Hazels hands.

”Okay lets go ”, The Royal mother said and held Hazels second hand. The three of them walked out of the hall hand in hand while Sona followed.

After passing through a lot of corridors, they came to an open field and went to a large quarter in front of the huge cherry tree in the garden.

”This is your quarters Hazel, come in ”, the Royal mother said.

Once they entered, the Royal mother took her to a beautifully adorned room and said this is your bedroom. Hazel looked around the room, the room was as large as her whole house back in Elainor village. There was a huge bed in the middle of the room, a large dressing table which had a large mirror, there were three large couches surrounding a huge table in front of the bed, there were two huge windows and there were five other doors in the room apart from the one they were standing at.

Realizing where she was looking at the Royal Mother looked at her

”Thats the bathroom door, thats the door to your wardrobe, there is another door in the wardrobe that leads straight to the bathroom, thats door is the one leading to your private room, that door leads to your personal study and the last one leads to the balcony ” she said pointing to each one of the doors

”This was your mothers quarters from childhood till death, I told them to arrange it for you because I thought it would make you feel closer to your mother. Everything in here is just as your mother left them nothing changed or moved. Do you like it Hazel ”, The Royal mothers asked,

”Yes I like it very much your Highness ”, Hazel replied smiling.

”Thats good, wait a minute ”, she said and turned to Sona ”Are they here ” the Royal mother asked.

”Yes, your Highness ”, Sona replied

”Bring them in ”, the Royal mother said and Sona quickly runs outside she comes back in with five young ladies, two strong men and a middle aged woman, all them of them come in and bows in front of the Royal mother.

”Give your orders your Highness ”, the middle aged woman said, the Royal mother turns to Hazel and says

”Hazel this are yours quarter workers ” pointing at each of the women she introduces them

”This middle aged woman is Court lady Carla, she was your mothers personal maid and friend until she passed away, after your mother died she began working in the kitchen but I brought her back here to be your Quarters Court lady. The two women beside her will be your personal maids and they will help you take a bath and get ready everyday ”

”The girl beside them is your kitchen staff and she will be in charge of your food and drinks, the other two ladies will be in charge of cleaning your quarters, while those two men are your personal guards and they will follow you everywhere ”, The Royal mother says.

”Alright Grandma ”, Hazel replies.

”Okay then my dear, why don you go get a bath then have lunch and get some sleep youve had a long journey. We will have dinner together tonight ”, the Royal mother says.

”Alright Grandma, see you tonight ”, Hazel tells her

”Bye Sister Hazel I will see you tonight ”, Roshan said smiling

”Bye Roshan ”, she says and The Royal mother left with Roshan and Sona.

Once they were gone Court lady Carla asks her

”What do you want to do now your Highness ”,

”I want to have a bath, can you make arrangements for that ”, Hazel tells her.

”Sure your Highness ”, she replies and goes into the bathroom with the two personal maids.

”What are your names ”, Hazel asks the guards.

”My name is Marioo, Your Highness ” one of the guards replies

”My name is Zamiel Your Highness ”, the other guards replies.

”Nice names ”, Hazel said smiling

”Thank you your Highness, we will be standing outside the door ” Zamiel said

”Okay ”, Hazel replies and they both left.

After they left Hazel turns to the other maids and ask

”What are your names ”,

”My name is Zobrah, Your Highness ”

”My name is Aluna, Your Highness ”

”And My name Rinus , Your Highness ” the ladies introduced themselves one by one.

”Okay, Rinus you are the kitchen help right ”

”Yes Your Highness ”, the girl replied

”Can you please get me something to eat ”, Hazel asks her.

”Yes your Highness, I will be right back ”, she says and left

”Zobrah, Aluna the both of you can go for now there is nothing to clean as you can see ”, Hazel says and smiles.

”Okay your Highness ”, the both of them replied and left.

After they were gone, Court lady Carla comes out of the bathroom and says to Hazel.

”Your Highness, the bath is ready. Anna and Kloy will help you get ready while I go arrange your meal ”

”Okay ”, Hazel said and Court lady Carla was on our way out when Hazel called her

”Lady Carla ”, Hazel called

”Yes your Highness ”, Lady carla replied

”Please take care of me the way you took care of my mother ”, Hazel said smiling

”Definitely your Highness ”, Lady Carla said and smiled at her, then she left the room.

After she left, Hazel went into the bathroom and saw both Anna and Kloy standing there. She looks at the both of them awkwardly feeling shy about them giving her a bath. The last time her mother bath her was when she was still eight years old, but since then no one has ever given her a bath again, Anna and Kloy realized her awkwardness so Anna said

”Your Highness, you don have to feel shy, we are also ladies like you ”

”Okay how about this, we will turn around so you can undress, once you are done enter the bathtub then notify us ”, Kloy said

Hazel nodded and the both of them turned around. Once she was in the tub she notified them, then they helped her carefully wash her body spotlessly clean.

”The water they use for a bath in the village is usually cold, this is the first time she was having such a warm bath. It was so soothing to the skin that she just felt like sleeping right there and there. After a while she was done with the bath so they took her into her wardrobe. She helped her change into a simple silk gown then took her to the bedroom. Kloy combed her waist long hazelnut colored hair, while Anna helped her apply lotion on her body. When they were done the both of them left and Rinus and the court lady came in. Hazel had her sumptuous lunch then laid down on the bed to get some sleep while thinking about the new huge elevation in her life.
