By the time Sarah was done Hazel eyes were red and puffy with tears. Sarah moved to sit beside her then hugged her tightly

”We know you are shocked and surprised about all this Hazel, cry it all out my dear ” Saman said. After crying for quite a while, Hazel looked at Sarah and said ”My mother went through so much in that family, if you hadn found her by the shores that day I probably wouldn even be here right now ” Hazel said with misty eyes

”Its all the past now my dear, the gods wanted you to be born that was why we found your mother. So don talk about all that now u hum ” Saman said patting her head.

”Alright dad, but why didn you tell me all this before ”, Hazel asked

”Because we never felt the need to and we also thought you weren old enough to know the truth ” Saman replied

”So why are you telling me now then ” Hazel asked again confused

”Its has become important Hazel, those people that came are from the Lexan Kingdom. That woman is Lexan Kingdoms high chief and she came here on the King, your fathers orders, she didn tell us why but your father suddenly wants you to be brought back to the palace ”.

”What.., me brought back to the palace and that too after thirteen years, how did they find me and Why will they suddenly want me to be brought back ” Hazel asked

”We also tried to find out Hazel but she didn tell us the reason, all she told us was that the King ordered for you to be brought back to the palace. We have been refusing them for the past six days that they have been coming here but the high chief was really angry after our refusal today and am sure the next time she comes back it won end with just an argument ”, Saman said

”I am already scared just thinking about it Saman ”

”What do you think they are going to do ” Sarah said

”We will find out about that later Sarah but for now lets go back to the farm ”, Sarah said

”You should rest Hazel, I will go back to the fish market while Saman goes back to the vegetables market okay ” Sarah said.

”Alright mom, I will make dinner then ” Hazel said

”Okay ” Sarah replied and left with Saman.

After they left Hazel spent the whole day digesting the news behind her background and later went to make dinner, before she was done her parents came back and they all had dinner then went to bed.

THE ROYAL PALACE, LEXAN KINGDOM.

”Your Majesties ” the high chief greet and bows in front of the King, the Queen and the Royal Mother on entering the throne hall.

”How did it go High chief ”, The Royal mother asked the high chief anxiously.

”I am sorry Your Majesty but that insolent couple disobeyed the Royal command and refused to handover the princess. Please forgive my incompetence ”, the high chief replies and bows again

”Blasphemy, Treason, how dare those people disobey a royal command, they have to be killed for this ”, The Queen shouted with anger clearly evident in her voice.

”Keep Quiet Marah, shouting like this is not befitting of the Mother of the nation and why would they hand her over just like that, they have raised our girl for thirteen years and we never went to see her at all in all these years so why would they just give her to us all of a sudden ” The Royal Mother reprimanded the queen.

”Am sorry Your highness, please forgive my rudeness ”, the Queen apologised awkwardly.

The Royal Mother snorted at her and turned to the High Chief then asked her

”How did you deliver the message ”

”I told them the Royal order Your Majesty, that the King and You want the princess to be handed over and about I also told them about the reward of obeying the order ”, the high chief said feeling proud of herself.

The Royal mother rubbed her temples then turned to the Queen and said in an angry but calm tone

”I gave you just one job Your Majesty and you couldn even do it properly, sorry to say ”

”What did I do wrong mother ”, The Queen asked feeling aggrieved.

”What didn you do wrong, of all the people you could have sent to deliver the message you sent this idiot ” the Royal mother said pointing to the high chief, she then turned to the chief and said

”You is that how to deliver a message, do you think the princess is an apple or a watermelon that you kept with them that you can just come out of nowhere one day and ask her to be handed over. Who delivers a message like that ”

”You were meant to invite them over to the palace so we can talk the whole thing out like a pair of matured adults, why did you have to go there and say all those rubbish and you even offered them rewards. where you asking them to sell her to you by telling them all that ”

”Please forgive my impudence Royal Mother i deserve to be punished ” the high chief apologized on her knees.

”Thank the heavens you know you deserve to be killed, I will postpone your death till you fix the mess you created.Go back there tomorrow and apologize to them for everything you said, then invite them over properly this time, if you fail again I will personally behead you ” The Royal mother threatened,

”Thank you for your grace your Majesty, I won disappoint you again ” the high chief said

”Hmmphh, whatever ”, The Royal mother snorted at the high chief then stood up

”Take me back to my chambers Sona I am tired ” The Royal mother said to her personal maid and went out of the throne hall

Once she left, the high chief stood up as well and said

”I will be on my way too, Excuse me your Majesties ”

”High chief ” the King called, ”Yes your Majesty ”

”Judging from what you just said about those people they probably won accept an invitation to come here so you have the permission to bring them all by force ”

”We can use force on the Princess too, your Majesty ”, the high chief asked

”Yes, all of them ”,

”As you wish your Majesty. I will be on my way then, Excuse me your Majesties ”

”Excused ”, the King says and the high chief bows and leave.

After she left the Queen looked at the King as says

”Seems like you also want to see your daughter, do you even care about I am feeling about all this your Majesty, The Royal mother is using her illness to bring the daughter of that woman into the palace, do you even care about how the Princesses are going to take this news. I can understand you at all your Majesty ”, The Queen said and left the hall along with her maids.

Once she left the King continued sitting lost in thoughts

The Queen left the throne hall and went back to her Quarters. She got to her room and started breaking the things in there ”Why didn you die when I pushed you into the river that day Astra, why you just had to leave your daughter behind to be a thorn in my flesh, but not to worry i will definitely give her the same ending I gave you ”, she thought evilly and snapped her fingers immediately she did the door flew open and two maids entered

”Yes your Majesty ” they said

”Clean this mess ”, she ordered and walked out of the room.

”Your Majesty, her highnesses are in the visiting chamber ”, her personal maid informed her on her way out of the room, she turned to her visiting chambers.

”Your highnesses why are the both of you pacing around ”, she asked after she entered the chambers

”Your Majesty, what was that we heard ” the eldest princess of Lexan kingdom and the Kings first child Princess Klara asked.

”What did you hear Princess Klara ”, the Queen asked taking a seat.

”That Royal Grandmother is bringing a girl home and she happens to also be a princess of this kingdom ” Princess Klara said

”Who told you this Klara ”, the Queen asked.

”We were standing right outside the throne hall and we heard everything ”, the second princess, Princess Astrid replied.

”Why would you eavesdrop on elders conversation girls thats unbefitting of a Princess ” the Queen reprimanded.

”We didn mean to eavesdrop mom, but we just had to listen. Please tell us what all of that was about ” Princess Astrid pleaded

”Everything you heard was the truth Astrid. The both of you have definitely heard of the Kings only concubine who passed away thirteen years ago, her daughter whom the Royal mother has been searching for since then has been found and the Royal mother wants to bring her into the palace ”, the Queen told her daughters.

”That can be mom, how can Royal grandmother do that ”, Princess Klara yelled.

”Calm down Klara, the Royal grandmother is using her weak health to threaten us to bring her back so she can be with all of her grandchildren before she passes away ” The Queen said

”So are we going to just sit and watch all of this happen mom ”, Princess Astrid asked.

”The both of you should just relax I know what to do about this ”, Queen Marah assured them

”Are you sure mom, you know how Royal Grandmother can be ” Princess Klara said.

”Am sure my dear, I know what to do so don worry. You can both leave ”.

”Okay Mom, just be careful ” Princess Klara said and left with her sister.
