Finishing the last mouthful of whiskey in his glass, Liao Gaofei carefully placed the glass on the transparent tabletop.

Clink! The slight clinking of the glass was infinitely magnified in this silent room and subsequently broke the silence.

“It’s so boring to drink alone.
Come, us, brothers, will drink with you.” Mu Heng rolled up his sleeves, picked up his glass, and moved to sit right beside Ji Ziming.

“That’s right; that’s right.” Liao Gaofei and Fu Mingxuan moved over as well.

Giving them a cold glance, Ji Ziming drank another gulp of the bitter alcohol.

He himself could not fathom why his mind was filled with thoughts of Pei Ge.

“Ziming, did Little Chili give you a black face again?” Mu Heng grinned while looking at his friend’s deadpan face.

Ji Ziming totally ignored him, though.

The other two men perked up at this.

Mu Heng laughed out loud in amusement when he saw Liao Gaofei’s excited look and Fu Mingxuan’s exasperated look.

“Ziming, I really don’t want to say this, but what are women?” Liao Gaofei raised his chin and proclaimed proudly, “Anything related to a woman is not an issue at all!”

Mu Heng tugged at his lips at Liao Gaofei’s smug look.
Not wanting to continue seeing his smug look, he praised Ji Ziming with a grin, “That’s right.
Anything related to a woman is not a problem, especially to our CEO Ji! Look at our CEO Ji; he’s brilliant, suave, and handsome to boot! I have never seen anyone more perfect than our family’s Ji Ziming.”

The corners of Ji Ziming’s mouth twitched a few times at Mu Heng’s sycophantic display.

“Young and talented! Definitely the best there is among the most eligible and rich bachelors! He looks so young, yet he is already worth more than those old uncles with big bellies!”

The other two stared speechlessly at Mu Heng, this clown, who was generously showering praises at Ji Ziming as though he were a salesman making his sales pitch.

Although what Mu Heng said was true, it somehow sounded a little strange.

“Rich, handsome, and talented! He’s also young.
Our CEO Ji only needs a slight wave of his hand and all the women from everywhere in the world will throw themselves at him – endlessly even!” The way Mu Heng droned on was totally like that of an ambassador.

That was what Liao Gaofei and Fu Mingxuan thought at the very least as they were totally entertained by Mu Heng’s antics.

“Mu Heng, I am really defeated by you.
Why don’t you, asshole, go work as a salesman, instead?! It’s really such a waste of your talent!” Liao Gaofei pointed at him and guffawed until he was almost in tears.

The originally lifeless atmosphere pervading the room was made lively by Mu Heng.

With your qualities, you don’t need to be upset over a woman.” Liao Gaofei grinned.

When he saw Ji Ziming’s uncaring look, he could not help but tease him more, “Is that one incomparable to others?”

Liao Gaofei felt that he had cracked a big joke and started guffawing again.

Only after he had a satisfying laugh did he realize with a start that something was off.

Ji Ziming’s reaction was a little too big – or lacking.

Ji Ziming’s large hand was tightly clasping his glass, but instead of gulping it down, it stayed unmoving before him.
He had a faraway look on his face, as though he were brooding.

“Hey, hey.
Is Ziming for real?!” Liao Gaofei looked at Mu Heng and asked curiously.

Fu Mingxuan also nodded his head.
Why did it seem that Ji Ziming was not like his usual self?

“What are you guys looking at me for? I’m not his mom; how would I know that?” Mu Heng raised his hands to show his innocence when the two’s gazes fell on him.

Finally, the silent Ji Ziming moved.

Pak! He placed the half-filled glass down and shot the three people a cold glance.

“Noisy,” he coldly rebuked.

“Hey, hey! Mr.
CEO Ji, the three of us are just concerned about you.
How can you say that we are noisy?” Mu Heng rolled his eyes.

“Ziming, don’t say that this brother of yours did not give you advise.

“F*ck! Ziming, can we all just forget that dark history of mine?! Plus, how long ago was that incident?!” A certain someone, who was just feeling a little smug inside, immediately turned hysterical at that.

“Pwa ha ha!” Mu Heng and Fu Mingxuan immediately mocked Liao Gaofei without mercy.

After a bout of laughter, Mu Heng’s lips curled up a little as he watched the calm Ji Ziming and whipped out his hand phone.

“Fetch my most prized bottle of Château Pétrus from my wine cellar.”
