My Big Brother is Seeking Death Again

Something in her brain clicked.
Although the difference between her brother’s cat and the cat in front of her is different, they are both cat after all.

She immediately put the little girl in her arms down and pulled out the packet from her bag before flinging it towards the giant cat.
The packet fell to the ground in front of the giant cat with a thud and the dried fishes inside scattered on the ground.

The giant cat froze for a moment, a pair of eyes with vertical pupils stared at her before looking at the packet on the ground.

Sure enough, the cat slowly walked to the packet and took a sniff.
After determining the contents weren’t harmful, it took one piece of dried fish in its mouth and started chewing.
Who knew what happened but the giant cat suddenly froze before eating the dried fish with gutso.

Although it was weird, but it really worked! The cat was only bigger in size but no different from ordinary cats.
Otherwise, how could it possibly succumb to a small packet of dried fish ……

“Meow~”

The giant cat’s body moved and a bell chimed as it pounced on the dried fishes and ate all of them, not leaving a single piece behind.
While eating, it didn’t forget to meow happily, letting people know how satisfied it was.

It really worked! But Mister giant cat Where is your dignity as a monster? You are completely turned as a house cat by me!

Thinking of the child in her arms, she turned her body sideways and plunged her head into the mud.

After falling, she realized that she had no strength to turn her body over, let alone sit up or stand.
She heard the bird chirping above her head and rustling of leaves that were swayed by the gentle wind.
The sky was slowly turning white as strokes of red dissipated.
She finally realised that it was already dawn.
She had actually ran the whole night.
No wonder it felt like ther limbs weren’t her own.
They hurts so damn much.

This is definitely the most bitter day in her twenty years of life.

“Sister …… sister ……”

The figure in her arms wiggled, and a little face drilled out, her eyes misty, as if tears would fall in next moment.
Worry and panic could still be seen in her small face.

“Good girl, don’t cry!” Shi Xia wanted to sooth the girl by rubbing her head but found out that she couldn’t lift her hand.
She continued to lie on the ground like a corpse as she gasped for breath, “I …… will …… be fine after rest… don’t go anywhere, okay?”

“Mmm.
Niu Niu will stay.” The girl named Niu Niu nodded obediently.

In the end the girl was still a child, seeing Shi Xia closing her eyes and not moving an inch, she couldn’t help but be afraid.
She heard the chirping of the birds and looked at the unconscious Shi Xia.
Although she felt like crying, she held herself and didn’t let the tears fall.
Biting her lower lip, she hugged Shi Xia’s neck and stayed still as Shi Xia instructed.

After lying down for almost half day, Shi Xia finally regained some strength.
Pushing herself from the ground, she gathered enough strength to sit up.
She felt carrots could be grown for how long she laid on the ground.
The little girl was still hugging her neck, almost crushing her breasts.

“Sister ……” the little girl blinked a pair of eyes that had swollen into walnuts and looked at her pitifully.

When Xia stroked her head, she took the time to check up the girl for any injuries.
The girl’s right foot had dried blood on it, fortunately it was just a scratch.
Now the bleeding has stopped.

Okay…the girl is saved but now what? The girl only looks five or six years old.
She would never be able to survive in the wilderness.
Shi Xia sighed and asked the girl, “Your name is Niu Niu?”

The girl nodded.

“Then can you tell sister what place is this?”

The girl showed a confused look.

Shi Xia understood the girl was unable to answer her question so she changed the previous question and asked, “The kid back there who was calling you, is he someone you are familiar with?”

Niu Niu was silent for a moment before she nodded and said, “Brother.”

“He is your brother?”

The girl nodded again.

“Do you know how you can get to him?” Shi Xia asked as gently as she could, “Where do you live? Do you remember the way back?”

Niu Niu nodded but halfway shook her head, “No, I don’t know…… brother said he would be there soon …… and bring foods for me so that I won’t be hungry.”

What a mess…Shi Xia felt dizzy but still listened the little girl’s words.
It looks like the little girl was just following her brother and met the giant cat.

“Do you know where your brother is going?”

Niu Niu shook her head, but suddenly thought of something and anxiously grabbed her clothes as she said, “East …… brother said he was going to East.”

East? He was going to east? But which direction is it?

Shi Xia looked up at the sun and discerned the direction, it just so happened that the direction she was running was east.
