I Will Always Love You Even After Your Foolish Decisions

The blonde male wasn able to sleep at all. Unwanted thoughts were bugging him, eating his mind up. Felix Jones has something which he is not so proud of at all and that is, his overthinking nature. Even if he tries to stop them, it sometimes gets quite tough.

”Love… Don overwork that little brain of yours. Whatever is going inside your head, you and I both know, that is not the fact. ”

Samuels voice startled Felix.

”I thought you were asleep and I am not overthinking. ”

Felix retorted back.

”I was just resting a bit. ”

Samuel continued, sitting up taking Felixs hand,

”You know that you can fool me right? I know you won stop overthinking even if I tell you to do so… but love, trust me you aren distancing me away from my parents. And yeah it will take some time for my parents to accept us, but for now what matters is that we have each other by our side. We will get through it, okay? ”

Felix just nodded with a light smile.

Samuel gave a light peck on Felixs forehead and side hugged him.

”If you don stop overthinking on your own, I have my own way to do so… ”

Samuel just smirked, letting go of Felixs hand and backing away a bit, before hovering over Felix, shocking him from the action.

”Sam… No. Hannah is sleeping, she might hear us… ”

Felix whispered.

”Ohh you think I care? She is a heavy sleeper. Nothing can stop me baby. ”

Samuel kept his smirk, while his hands made his way inside Felixs shirt.

Before Felix could react or say something, Samuel started tickling him.

”What the- Sam- SAM STO-STOP!! Ahaha- stop it!!! ”

Felixs deep yet melodious laughter echoed in the room while Samuel was not showing any signs of stopping.

”Huuh? Will you stop those thoughts now? Will you? ”

Samuel asked, continuing tickling Felix.

Felix just nodded trying his best to get out of his lovers tight grip.

”Words baby, words. ”

”Yes- **… stop!! I will- I will stop them!! ”

Felix screamed between his torture of tickles.

”Very good. ”

Samuel said while huffing, finally stopping his torture on the little male.

Samuel just stared at Felix, huffing, his cheeks red from laughing, hairs messy yet making him so ethereal to look at. Samuel is head over heels for the blonde male for sure and nothing can change that, not even his parents.

”Stop looking like that! ”

Felix grumbled, hitting Samuels chest.

”Like what? ”

Samuel whispered.

”Like I am your whole world, like you are so much in love with me… ”

Felix whispered, a tint of pink creeping through his neck to his cheeks. The cream coloured light from the lamp made him look so beautiful.

”You are… you are my world and… I love you… I love you so much Lix, that… that it sometimes hurts… ”

Samuel whispered, his voice cracking a bit at the end.

”I love you more, Sam… So much for my own good… ”

Felix whispered back.

Their whispers were low, only for them to hear, only for them to keep and only for them to memorize.

Samuel leaned in for a kiss as Felix closed his eyes, drinking up every bit of the memory trying to erase the bitter feeling inside his head and heart, filling it with unconditional love and affection.

Before they could deepen the kiss, the ringing of the phone made them break away from each other.

”Ugghh… ignore it… ”

Samuel groaned.

But the ringing was not stopping at all.

”Sam you should pick it up… maybe its something important? ”

Felix suggests.

Samuel agrees and gets up to pick up his phone, only to get a bit surprised upon seeing the caller id.

”Dad…? ”

Samuel answered, picking up. He could tell Felixs body was getting a bit tense upon hearing this.

It wasn like that his father never calls him, but so randomly at this hour and that too after meeting up this very evening.

”What is it? ”

Samuel asked after a long pause.

”Huuh? Why? ”

Samuel asked, an annoyed expression on his face made Felix believe that it wasn a very pleasant thing.

Samuel again replied after a short pause,

”You can just tell me now over the phone. ”

”Okay, fine!! But you HAVE to make it quick. Tomorrow evening. ”

Samuel hangs up without even waiting for any reply from the other side.

”Umm… What is it? ”

Felix asked, hesitatingly.

”Dad wants me to visit them tomorrow. He has something important to tell me, apparently. ”

Samuel replied.

”Is it… by any chance… about the engagement…? ”

”I don know… We will find out tomorrow and if he brings about the engagement I will just tell them about you and me, for good only. ”

”Okay… ”

Felix replied, a bit distracted.

Samuel walked towards him and cupped his face oh so gently, as if Felix is made up of glass, if handled roughly, he will break.

”Lix… baby, don worry… we will get through it together… okay? ”

Felix nods as Samuel kisses him, this time deepening the kiss. After shuffling around the sheets with their activities, they finally went to sleep holding each other tightly as bare bodies touch each other, making them even more close. Not just by their body, but by their souls too.

The next morning everything was going on as always. Felix got Hannah ready for kindergarten, with Samuel helping him as he himself got ready. But today, they were a bit late and Samuel had to go a bit early. Well you can say, the house is a bit chaotic today with Hannah enjoying everything while she is standing with her father in front of the door waiting for Felix, who was busy packing lunches.

”Felix!! I am getting late!! I have some important appointments today! ”

Samuel screamed as he was waiting for Felix, a giggling Hannah by his side.

”I am coming!!! ”

Felix screamed back as he rushed out of the apartment.

”Hurry up, we all are gonna be late. ”

Samuel hurried them up as he made his way towards the elevator.

”Stop hurrying us up! Whose fault is it that we woke up late today, huuh? ”

Felix scolded Samuel as he held Hannahs hand and got inside the elevator.

”Well… it wasn completely my fault, was it? You were the one telling me to keep going yesterday night- ouch!! Hey, that hurts!! ”

Samuels ramblings were interrupted as Felix pinched him hard on his arm.

”Yeah thats why I did that, idiot and moreover you were the one offering us a ride to the school anyway. ”

Felix retorted.

”Yeah papa, its you who offered us a ride… me and Lix can go alone. ”

Hannah said, giggling while getting out of the elevator.

”Princess! You
e supposed to take my side!! ”

Samuel complained.

After thirty minutes of driving, Samuel finally reached his office after dropping his lover and daughter at the school.

”Hey Sam! Good morning. ”

As soon as Samuel entered his personal office he was greeted by a very cheerful Christopher.

”Come on mate!! How the ** are you so early and so chirpy in the morning!? ”

Samuel asked, keeping his bag on his table and making his way towards his chair.

”First, I am very punctual and second, I am chirpy because I got to see my baby girl soon!!! ”

Christopher enthusiastically said.

”Well good for you. Is Sarah healthy? ”

Samuel asked while looking through his schedule Christopher just gave him.

”Yeppp she is perfectly healthy. ”

Christopher continued, ”Now back to work. We got a lot of shits to do today. You can say its gonna be a hectic day. ”

”Ughh… okay but clear my schedule after six please. No brand deals whatsoever for today. ”

Samuel said.

”Why? Got a date with Lix? ”

Christopher asked, in a teasing manner.

”Ohh I wish… but no, gotta meet Dad for some shits he wants to tell. ”

Samuel grumbled.

”You are meeting him? I thought… ”

Christopher trailed off, unable to say anything.

”It doesn matter Chris… After all, he is my father. And I also want to tell them about Felix. ”

Samuel sighed, looking at the frames on his wall. One of them was of him and Felixs graduation day. He always likes to look at that picture whenever he is tense and unsure about something.

Christopher was at a loss of words. He knows Samuel, if the man wants to do something, he does that even if God tries to stop him, he won .

Felix was done with his day and was on his way to his and Samuels apartment along with Hannah. He was distracted the whole day, wondering why Samuels father called him to meet him and that too in the house.

”Lix… lix…LIX!! ”

Hannahs scream pulled Felix out of his thoughts.

”Lix… What happened? You just crossed our apartment ”

Hannah asked.

”Ohh… sorry baby I was a bit distracted. ”

Felix replied, opening the apartment door and going inside.

He got busy with his own works, still those uneasy thoughts in his mind. He was done putting Hannah for a nap, when Samuel called him.

”Hey… ”

Felix answered, trying his best to sound normal.

”Hii love… ”

Came Samuels reply from the other side.

”How was your day? I thought you were gonna be busy today? ”

Felix asked, fiddling with the hem of his t-shirt.

”Yeah… I am on my way to another meeting. I just wanted to hear your voice. Where is Hannah? ”

”I just took her for a nap. Have you had your Lunch? ”

Felix asked.

”No, Im gonna have lunch with this client. ”

Samuel continued, ”Okay love, I gotta go or else Chris might kill me. Bye, love you! ”

”Okay, bye and love you too. ”

Felix chuckled, as Samuel hung up with a dramatic gasp.

Felix layed down on the bed, with uneasy thoughts occupying his mind, tossing and turning and eventually falling asleep.

Samuel was finally done with his hectic day of meetings. He is now on his way to his parents house. He tried calling Felix, but the latter isn picking up, as he assumed probably the younger is sleeping.

After a short drive from his company, he finally reached his parents house. He used to stay with them, but after everything Samuel did not want to stay in this hell hole any longer.

He rang the calling bell and shortly after the door was opened by the maid.

”Hey Grace, how are you? ”

Samuel asked, as he hugged the lady who gladly hugged him back.

Grace was the maid of the Willson family for a long time now. Samuel literally grew up in her arms. The male has a bit of a soft spot for the old lady.

”Hello Samy… Oh dear, its been a while since I last saw you. ”

Grace said, looking at Samuel with adoration in her eyes.

”Where is Dad? ”

Samuel asked, he does want to talk to Grace more but he wants to talk to his dad first.

”Mr. Willson is inside his room along with Mrs. Willson. ”

Before Samuel could walk towards the stairs, Grace grabbed him by his arm.

”Samy… I know what you have been through… but please listen to your fathers side of the story. The old guy has been through a lot, my child. This is what I am asking from you for the very first time. ”

Graces voice quivered a bit, as if the words were choking her.

”I will, Grace… ”

Samuel replied, reassuring the old lady.

He made his way towards his fathers room. Yeah both his parents live separately for some reason, its going on after Nick came. Till this day he doesn know the answer.

Arthur and Clara were seated, waiting for their son to arrive. Arthur was reading a book while Clara sat there with her phone scrolling, both of their attention went towards the door when they heard a knock.

”Yeah… come in. ”

Arthur said, keeping his book aside.

Samuel opened the door and went inside. The atmosphere was already so gloomy here. He has a bad feeling about this.

”Son… How was your day? ”

Arthur asked.

”As always busy with meetings and all. ”

Samuel continued after a short pause,

”Why did you want to see me? ”

”Why are you so impatient? Just have a seat and talk normally, we are your parents for gods sake! ”

Clara huffed.

”I am too tired, Mom. Please. ”

Samuel was not in any mood to have another bitter conversation with his mother for sure. He just wants to know what his father wanted to say and get done with it.

”Okay, enough. Sam, I called you here for a reason. ”

Arthur calmly said.

He continued with a monotonous voice,

”I guess you already have an idea about yesterdays dinner with the Nelsons. Still, I will say it. I want you and Harley to get engaged… ”

Samuel was not surprised at all in fact he was prepared for this. But there was a pang in his heart from his fathers words.

”And you know that very well, Dad, that is not gonna happen ever. ”

Samuel said, gritting his teeth. He is trying his best to stay calm.

Arthur continued ignoring Samuels words.

”This Saturday, we are gonna hold a party, as I said, for our anniversary. But most importantly, I and Mr. Nelson are gonna announce your and Harleys engagement. ”

”I already told you thousands of times, I don want to get engaged!!! ”

”You have to listen to me, I am your father- ”

”THAT DOESNT GIVE YOU ANY FUCKING RIGHTS TO RUIN MY LIFE!!! ”

Samuels outburst shocked both Arthur and Clara. He tried his best, but just because of the father title he can ruin his own sons life.

”Samuel Willson!! Behave. We are your parents. We do whats best for you! ”

It was Clara who spoke this time.

”Yeah? Just like how you did years ago? Ruining three lives, just to satisfy your ego as parents, huh? ”

Samuel scoffed, a bitter smile on his face.

”Samuel, we never ruined lives!! We did whats best for OUR son! ”

Clara argued back.

”Well Mom, your son is an ADULT and mature enough to understand whats good for him. So please stop interfering in my personal life! ”

Samuel continued,

”And… I am back with Felix. So stop wasting your time and let me be by myself, please. ”

Arthur, who was silent the whole time, looked towards Samuel with shocked eyes.

”Felix? Felix Jones? The one from your high school? ”

Arthur asked, curiosity lurking in his voice.

”Yes Felix Jones, the one who I lost once, because of you! ”

Samuel spat.

”You still aren cured, huh? ”

Clara said, venom in her voice.

”For **s sake, being gay is not a disease!! ”

Anger has taken over Samuel completely.

”That IS a disease. Two men? Disgusting!! ”

Clara spat back.

”You are disgusting! Whats wrong with me dating a man? ”

”Everything is wrong about this and as your mother I can let this happen! ”

Clara continued, bitter expression still on her face,

”That blonde! That **ing boy ruined my sons life. I will get rid of him this time for good!! ”

”Ohh You wouldn dare to! ”

Samuel warned taking a step towards her.

”You are not gonna be with him!! ”

”WHATS WRONG WITH ME BEING GAY- ”

”BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO FACE!! ”

Both Clara and Samuel were shocked hearing Arthur scream. Arthur in general is a really calm man. Screaming is far away, he won even raise his voice if not necessary.

”Your father here Sam… is… gay. I once dated a man, was in… love. ”

It would be an understatement if Samuel says that he was not shocked by his fathers confession.

”Da-dad… ”

Clara just scoffed,

”Obviously… Polluted blood. Like father, like son. ”

”Stop it, Mom!! ”

Samuel warned.

”What are you saying dad? ”

Samuel calmly asked.

”At my time, being homosexual was a huge crime. I fell in love, the most beautiful and gorgeous man I ever saw. But… Time was cruel. His name was, Isaac. ”

Arthur continued, with his quivering voice as he sat down on his chair.

”I tried my best to hide our relationship, but it was in vain. You know the saying, it was the right person but wrong timing. Before I knew my engagement was set with the lady, who is your mom now… That didn stop us from seeing each other. As they say, truth can never be hidden… ”

”What happened after, Dad? ”

”Your mom… She saw us one day, kissing… I never noticed but after I went back home all I knew was they were planning my wedding as soon as they could. And they even told my love, to leave me if he wants me to be happy and… alive… ”

A pearl of tear rolled down Arthurs cheek,

”Again, love needs to remind us that its another form is sacrifice… Isaac left, without any clue, just leaving me a letter saying, Dear Arthur, I am gonna be fine. Please be happy for me. nothing more. I was devastated, but started living my life, because I promised him. ”

He wiped the tear and looked a Samuel,

”I got ridiculed, I was neglected… heartbroken because of the cruel society… and when I held you and Nick for the first time, I promised myself that I will protect you both with everything I have. I was confused, angry, sad and what not when I got to now that you are gay. I started distancing you from that guy… from your, Love. ”

Samuel doesn know what to do anymore. After knowing all these, how can he blame his father? He himself is breaking down now.

”I was so blinded by my own past that I never noticed the things I wanted to protect you from. The heartbreaks I wanted to protect you from… I was the one causing them. ”

Arthur stood up and went towards Samuel,

”I knew Felix is here and you guys are together… But I never mentioned anything, I wanted you to tell me yourself. Son, I am sorry for everything I did… I know its not forgivable, but please. ”

Arthur broke down as he hugged Samuel. Clara was just sitting there, witnessing everything. She loves her son, but still can accept her sons sexuality. The woman, her whole life was deprived of love. When she begged Arthur to love her, he would ignore her, until she gave him a condition that she wants children, and after that, she will never ask Arthur to love her. The deprivation from love of her husband made her heart full of hatred, especially towards Felix, thinking he will also take Samuel away from her.

Samuel, without saying anything, came out of the house and got inside his car. The weather was gloomy, as if the clouds were going to burst any time now.

”Aaagggghhh!!! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! ”

He lets out his frustration while hitting the steering wheel. Tears rolled down his face. All those things happened, just because of his parents unrequited love. He suffered just because they never got their love. Is he wrong, for blaming them? Is he wrong for cursing them for causing his misery? Then why can he blame them? Why can he hate them? He can seem to find any answer.

Rain started pouring, hitting the roof of the. The sky is also crying, having had enough of pressure, finally deciding to break down. After wiping away his tears, he started the engine and drove away. Only one person can answer him. Only one person can heal his pained heart. He needs him, his love, his ever so ethereal love, Felix.

Felix woke up when Hannah called him, it was already past 8 when he was feeding Hannah after helping her with some school work. He tried to keep himself out of any negative thoughts. He saw Samuels missed calls, but when he called back Samuel didn pick up. So Felix just gave up as his boyfriend was supposed to visit his parents.

”Lix? When will Papa be back? ”

Hannah asked. The little girl was too eager to spend some time with her father.

”He will be back soon, baby. ”

Felix replied, patting Hannahs head.

”I want to play with him… I miss him. ”

It was obvious that the little girl missed her father.

”Sorry princess, Papa has been too busy lately. We will find something to do with Papa, okay? ”

The reassurance in Felixs voice made the girl believe him.
