Shen Man listened to class earnestly and took notes.

Shen Man’s votes were recorded on the left, and Lin Shu’s were recorded on the right.

Shen Man smiled and looked indifferent, as if she didn’t care about the outcome.

Lin Shu’s face was tense, her fingers clasped together and her eyes glued to the blackboard.

Whenever her number of votes exceeds Shen Man, she would laugh happily, but if it’s lower than Shen Man’s, she would bite her lip angrily.

“Shen Man has twenty-two votes and Lin Shu also has twenty-two votes.” The head teacher announced on the podium.

Lin Shu wanted to laugh in victory at first, but after realizing it was a draw, she pressed the corners of her mouth back.

Shen Man was not surprised by this result, nor did she care.

“There are forty-five students in our class.
If you did not vote, please stand up.”

No one responded.

A classmate muttered, “Shao Qi was sleeping and did not vote.”

Shen Man sat in the living room and dialed Lin Shu’s number.

After a while, Lin Shu was connected, and said in a bad tone, “Why are you calling me?”

“Aunt He is preparing dinner, are you coming back to eat?” Shen Man asked.

“I’m not going back.” Lin Shu humphed.

Shen Man chuckled, comfortably leaning against the sofa, “Still angry about losing to me?”

“Who’s angry?” Lin Shu retorted.

Shen Man laughed again and lowered her voice, “I voted for you.”

Lin Shu was stunned, and it took a few seconds to find her voice again, “I didn’t ask for you to vote for me.”

In this way, even if Shao Qi voted her, she was still one vote behind Shen Man.

“Are you coming back for dinner tonight?” Shen Man repeated.

Lin Shu held her phone and didn’t reply.

Shen Man added, “Aunt He said that she made your favorite dishes.”

The smile on Shen Man’s face fell, and she stopped her movements.

Lin Shu frowned, “Why won’t you take it? Tan Kai bought it especially for you.”

“Please thank him for me, but I want to lose weight and can’t drink milk tea.” Shen Man said with a smile.

“If you don’t drink it, I’ll drink it.” Lin Shu said and looked at Shen Man strangely, before taking a sip.
She said, “I think Tan Kai is a little interested in you.
How about you go out with him, saving me the hassle of taking Shao Qi back.”

Hearing this, Shen Man sneered and instead of answering the question, she asked, “Is the milk tea delicious?”

“Of course it’s delicious.” Lin Shu raised her eyebrows in confusion.

Seeing the inexplicable smile on Shen Man’s face, her heart trembled.

Just as she was about to speak, a slender finger stroked her lips.

Lin Shu froze on the spot in shock.

Shen Man sat down and looked at the vegetables on the table, saying, “Shushu, eat more vegetables, I made them.”

Lin Shu wanted to refuse at first, but when she heard the latter sentence, she tentatively grabbed a piece with her chopstick.

The crisp taste stimulated her tastebuds and she couldn’t help showing a satisfied look on her face.

When Aunt He saw, she smiled and said, “Manman’s craftsmanship is better than mine.
Whoever’s with Manman in the future would be blessed.”

“Aunt He, stop joking.” Shen Man chuckled and looked at Lin Shu.

Lin Shu couldn’t swallow the leafy greens in her mouth.

She chewed a few times, and forced it down with difficulty.
After that, she never took another piece.

The atmosphere suddenly turned cold.
