How An Unrealistic Hero Was Born

*gulp*

”Hey… ”

a man In a black knights outfit raised his hand

”at ease knights ”

immediately all of the knights lowered their spears.

”sorry about that, your a bit late to the event. there have been quite a few attacks on the city lately so we are on guard. please step forward so we can clear you ”

.

the room they were in was quite bright, it had wooden floor boards and black bricks on the walls, oddly enough blue balls of light were scattered around the room illuminating it.

.

Chase took a step forward and a girl in a robe stepped forward to meet him.

.

”this might tickle a bit ”

.

A circular green crest lit up on the girls hand, she slowly hovered her hand from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head.

.

”hes clear ”

.

the Black knight nodded In response

”well sir you may enter the arena ”

.

”Thank you ”

.

The Black knight stepped forward and opened the door for Chase. Chase stepped through.

.

”Woah! ”

Chase couldn help but gasp at the sight, the place was massive, much larger then he thought a hidden mountain arena could be. He was behind a glass pane, he could see out onto the arena floor from there. The place he was standing in looked very modern, the wall with the door he came from was bright white and there was a soft carpet beneath his feet the wall in front of him was made entirely out of glass, it seemed to be a very large circle with the arena in the middle.

The corners of the hallways had long lines that gave off a bright white glow which lit up the space, but perhaps more impressive was that outside of the glass the arena was lit up by 30 or so floating balls of light, they were a mix of colors, but they all gave off white light.

his place is so cool!!

He didn have many options so he headed to the right and walked along the glass wall.

wow this place is awesome, now that I have some time to think, those spears the guards were holding were very odd. they looked normal, but they gave off a weird energy, I could feel it trying to repel me away and what that guard was talking about was also interesting, they are repeatedly being attacked, sounds like the perfect opportunity to complete my condition and score a few points with this kingdom

Chase continued his long walk down the hall until he saw another door. it looked alot like a elevator. Chase put his hand on the door and it opened. He quickly stepped inside and saw a few buttons

”hmm, I guess I should go to the arena seating ”

.

*ding*

the elevator began to rise, it took a second but the elevator eventually hit the correct floor and gave a ringing noise when it was time to exit, the door slid open and Chase finally found where all the people were.

wow, there have to be thousands of people here

anywhere chase looked he saw people, he stood at the to of the stands and there were probably 50 or 60 rows of wooden bleachers leading downward. It felt like chase stepped into a different era. the very modern looking hall with nice white lights was gone, instead everything was made of wood and gave off a very taverny vibe with the scent of booze being in the air.

What confused chase was that he should have been able to see the bleachers from the glass hallway from earlier. he soon noticed ripples at the bottom of the bleachers.

huh, maybe illusion magic

Chase walked down the steps until he reached the stomach height wall at the bottom of the steps. he reached his hand out and it was like touching a hard wall.

I guess I should find somewhere to sit.

Chase looked around and walked for awhile, similarly to the glass hallway the bleachers were just another large circle that surrounded the arena. it took awhile but he found a spot right between a old looking tiger man and a middle aged human girl.

as soon as Chase sat down a hologram of a strong middle aged man with a beard appeared. he almost looked human except for his very small height.

”Welcome back folks, I hope you enjoyed your intermission. Are previous two fights were spectacular. Avon winning the first and Tarnished winning the second. very close games from very powerful fighters. Now for are next two, Aquarius versus Turf and DD versus Solax. these fighters look more promising than the last, especially with our strongest adventurer in the city, Solax, participating. Good luck to are fighters, are first battle will begin in 30 seconds. ”

A large Holographic timer appeared to replace the man. A women with dark blue armor appeared on the right side of the arena, she wore a mask with a demon face. Her armor looked very light and unrestricting, it only protected her most vital parts. Her hair was a light shade of blue and she had two dagger in her belt.

damn, she looks strong, but I do find it weird. Isn the reward to marry the queen? I mean theres nothing wrong with being lesbian, just a bit different then what I expected.

.

The crowd had a visible look of confusion, but none spoke up and all seemed fine with it. after all the queen was marrying her if she won, not them.

.

on the other end of the arena a large bald man with a great sword on his back walked out. He wore heavy armor that was completely red. even his great sword looked like still fire. he also had small flames coming off his shoulders.

.

well this should be interesting. their complete opposites. I don like the girls chances though, even if she can dodge that sword of his, finding an opening in all that armor will be difficult.

”Fighters get ready! ”

both the contenders got into a fighting stance, the girl looked like a tiger about to pounce on her prey. the male however just pulled out his sword and held it in front of him.

.

”good luck ” The man said.

”FIGHT!! ”
