Chapter 28.
Summon All Units

Goblin King could not hide his joy at the arrival of its first human.
It had been several days since its creation.
Growing tired of waiting in this room, it couldn’t move because it wasn’t allowed to.
Its will was also frozen, awakening only when intruders appeared.
It considered even rats and insects as intruders.

However, no enemies were coming to challenge it.
It felt frustrated that no one had made it this far, so it was delighted when intruders finally appeared.

There was only one intruder.
They must have had the considerable skill to come alone to the deepest part of this dungeon.
Delighted at the prospect of a fight, goblin king had its subordinates prepare formations and use [Enhanced Royal Guard].

The preparations were complete until the enemy’s appearance.
Now all that was left was to wait for the enemy to arrive.
However, it frowned in surprise as the iron door leading to the room began to open.

“Gugya? I thought they were alone?”

Beyond the open door stood a small-bodied girl and a tall, slender man dressed in black attire.
There were two of them.

“Sorry, we’re not what you expected.
We’re a little insane.”

The man shrugged his shoulders lightly and greeted them as if on a casual stroll.

“I’d like to form a club for aliens, psychics, and time travelers.
By the way, I’m an alien enthusiast.”

The girl with a rifle also teased in a playful tone.

“Kill them!”

With just one word, goblin king gave the order.
Its subordinates moved in unison, acting with precise coordination under their own will.

“Well then, let’s fight fairly and squarely this time.
It’s enough if you, as a goblin, just roar and scream.”

The girl’s words angered goblin king, and the battle began.

Sakimori quickly surveyed the large room.
It had a width of 100 meters with no pillars or anything.
It was a vast cave chamber with a simple earthen floor.

In front of goblin king were 5 goblin knights holding shields, 20 sword-wielding goblins, and 10 Goblin Shamans.
Behind them stood goblin king wearing a rusty crown, and an iron full-face helmet.

“The Tower Shield is quite impressive.
I wonder if even rifle bullets can’t penetrate it?”

The shield-bearing knights, who concealed the robust goblin knights behind them, supported themselves on the ground with thick and elongated iron shields.
Though only 5, they stood in the way of goblin king and protected it.

Sakimori, standing there in disbelief, had a physical body.

“The great sword is useless.
That Magic Sword, which always maintains its sharpness, has shortcomings in attack power.”

Shizuku, who left her greatsword on the ground and held up her hunting rifle, also has a body.

In other words, both of them had physical bodies.
It was a special summoning skill called [Summoning All Units].
Once a day, for only one hour.
The two could exist simultaneously.
The drawback was that if one die, they would die.
It was natural that both of them were currently present.

Although dangerous, Sakimori agreed without hesitation to Shizuku’s suggestion that it was necessary to defeat goblin king.

“Kill them!”

We heard goblin king’s cry again, and the enemies moved simultaneously.

“Sakimori-san goblin king is the only enemy.”

“Aiyo.
The King alone moves at will, doesn’t he?”

I nod as Shizuku warns me in a sharp voice, and I take the twisted shaman’s staff off my hip and hold it up.
A little compensation is given to the activation of the magic.

The black-clad man concentrates his magic and waves his hand.

“Nyan-nyan squad.
Come here.”

At my words, shadow tigers, shadow cats, and shadow snakes slip out of Sakimori’s shadow one after another.

I summoned 10 shadow tigers, 20 shadow cats, and 20 shadow snakes.
It’s 50 in total.
I had prepared them in advance, as I heard that the battle would be a numbers game.
I conserved mana and specialized my stats in magic without using any on the way here.

“Take care of the goblins.”

“Nya!”

“Nya!”

“Nyaa!”

Silently, the shadow tigers rush towards the goblins, followed by the goblin knights who also charge towards the approaching shadow tigers.

“Mnnn!”

A sword strikes the head of the leading shadow tiger.
With its head crushed in a single blow, the goblin knight who killed it raises his head, only to be shot in the head, blowing it off.

“Funyah!”

The shadow cat slips past it and pounces on the next goblin knight’s face with its claws.
Goblin knight rushes to grab the shadow cat and screw it down with its grip, but at that moment, it’s shot in the head, causing him to stagger and fall.

“Reload.”

Shizuku gets to her knees, pulls out the empty shell casing, and quickly puts a new bullet into her hunting rifle.

“Take down the gunner! Shamans!”

As goblin king waved its hand in front of the goblin knights, who fell to the bullets one after the other, and gave its order, shamans held out their staffs and began chanting to create fireballs.
However, before they unleashed their magic, Sakimori’s magic is released towards the shamans.

[Flame Lance]

A three-meter-long spear made of fire pierced the torsos of the three shamans, who were defenseless because they were chanting, and the magic instantly burned them.

“Counter-magic!”

Waving his hand, goblin king shouts to counteract the enemy’s magic.

[Magic Dispel]

A few shamans hurl their mana into the flaming spear, counteracting its composition.
The remaining shamans finish their chanting, complete their magic, and point their wands at him.

[Big Fireball]

Still unable to engage the shadow familiars, the goblin knights have large fireballs flying over their heads.
The four fireballs, each about 2 meters in size, heat the air as they attack the guards, but Shizuku takes aim at a knight and remains motionless.

Before that, Sakimori steps forward and snaps his fingers.

[Icicle Shield]

Four palm-sized ice barriers appear in front of the fireballs, blocking them.
The explosion hits, creating a blast that dispels Sakimori’s hoods, cloaks, and shadows.

Sakimori felt that his magical power had greatly increased, along with his accuracy, power, and most importantly, the ease of activation and manipulation.
It was as if rigid clay had become as fluid as water, allowing him to effortlessly control it as if he was controlling a game character.

As a result, even a small shield made of ice could easily block the enemy’s magic, and I also could mimic the enemy’s magic, which was based on the mana they had just used.

Intense heat radiates, warming Sakimori’s face, but they pay no mind and smirk, waving his fingers.

“Thanks for showing me the good stuff.
[Dispel].”

Mana ripples out from my fingertips, instantly dispelling the explosive fires.
Sakimori chuckles but grimaces.

“Using mana directly like that consumes a lot.”

By unleashing the spell of magic destruction, my mana was significantly decreased.
It’s useless like this.
It would have been better to counter with ordinary magic.

“I’m both relieved and horrified I can imitate the magic I’ve seen for the first time without skill.”

With an amused smile, Shizuku finds it surprising that it requires skill, contrary to simply channeling mana.

“That’s how it usually is when you can’t do it.”

While effortlessly dealing with the shadow tigers that sneak around, the goblin knights are in disarray.
Shizuku pulls the trigger and takes down another one.

“Don’t worry.
Well, since I can use it, it’s fine.
It doesn’t seem to have much practical use, though.
But there is a way to counter it.”

Sakimori uses a new magic as he clips a few disposable knives attached to his waist between his fingers and brings them in front of his face.

[Enchanted Flame Lance]

I lightly toss the knife, and its blade becomes enveloped in a spear of fire, hovering in the air.

“The fire lance is remotely controllable and can also be imbued.
Let’s see how this goes.”

With a quick wave of my index finger, the fire spear accelerates toward the shamans.

[Magic Dispel]

The goblin shamans pale as they attempt to counter with defensive magic, but the fire lance evades their spells with sharp turns.

“Since the knife is the core, it’s hard to disrupt its focus even with sharp turns.”

I wave my finger like a conductor, evading the goblin shamans’ magic and hitting their bodies.
The goblin shamans show expressions of agony as they burn, the fire lance detaching from their bodies and floating in the air once again, engulfing and incinerating the remaining shamans.

“Shield bearers! Dispel with your shields!”

Watching the unbelievable fire lance, goblin king gathers shield bearers around him.

[Aura Shield]

[Magic Dispel]

The shield-bearer knight readies himself with his shield at the ready.
As the fire spear looms above his head, he hurriedly raises his red aura shield to defend himself.

[Hyper Reloader]

[Armor Break]

The shield-bearing knights raise their shields and brace themselves.
As the fire lance approached from above, they hurriedly covered their raised shields in a red aura to defend themselves.

“Hehe.
So, you’ve finally become a new breed.
Next, say ‘Dagger’ and call for it.”

“Um, Shizuku-san, I can’t concentrate on controlling it while casually chatting.”

If they pay attention to the fire lance, Shizuku’ll hit them with bullets.
If they focus on the bullets, they’ll be vulnerable to the fire lance.
The goblin knights are overwhelmed by our coordinated attacks, falling one by one.

The two men exchanged light banter as they took down their opponents.

With a thud, the goblin knights fell to the ground, and only the goblin king remained.

“You… how dare you! Is this the end?! [Sonic Slash]”

Enraged, the goblin king infuses his greatsword with martial art, shaping shockwaves into blades and swinging them towards Shizuku and me.
The sonic shockwave blades approach at the speed of sound, but they burst and dissipate with a crack.

“What?

The goblin king is shaken as its overwhelmingly confident strike gets nullified.
With a faint smile, Sakimori waves his finger.

Unbeknownst to anyone, I erected a completely transparent ice barrier.

Then, I activated it instantly.

“Here’s another one.
Please have a bite.”

I put the fire spear enhancement on the knife I had newly pulled from my waist and turned it on to goblin king.
But goblin king, not losing its fighting spirit, swung its sword with fangs bared.

“Don’t underestimate me! [Aura Sword]”

With a single sweep, goblin king destroys the fire lance flying towards it with a great sword enveloped in a red aura.
Unfazed, it charges forward with its fighting spirit exposed.

[Fire Ball]

Goblin king approaches, and the defender squints one eye and shoots a fireball at it.

“Don’t underestimate me, I said!”

Goblin king tries to slash through the fireball or swing his sword, but…

“Well, well, I’m not underestimating you, you know? [Raging Gale]”

As Sakimori points downward, the fireball explodes in front of goblin king, engulfing it in swirling fires.
The fires attempt to consume his body, but…

“Haah! [Howling]”

Goblin king stands still, braces itself, arches its body, and roars, canceling the shockwave.

Click.

Seizing the opportunity, a pitch-black bullet slips into the slit of its helmet.

Goblin king’s eyes are pierced, and a storm of destruction rages through its brain.
It kneels and drops its sword, blood dripping from inside its helmet, before collapsing to the ground.

[Hyperblitz]

Smoke billows from the rifle, and with a cold gaze, Shizuku discards the spent cartridge and chuckles.
Their proficiency brings about precise and foreseeing shots.
If even it revealed the slightest opening, Shizuku could defeat opponents like the goblin king with a gun.

“That’s why I said it’s better to be a gorilla in the next life.”

“Well, well.
Is this a complete victory?”

“We’ve completely shut him down, Sakimori-san.
You completely depleted your mana, though.
And I’m running low on ammunition.”

We laugh together, celebrating our victory in the well-coordinated battle.
It was a close combat situation, but with depleted mana, I didn’t want to fight opponents like that.

Whatever the case may be, we had finished their first dungeon attack.
