The maid who had a confident look in her eyes after pouring the cold water on me started to laugh at my appearance. I was drenched in cold water from top to bottom.

”Looks like you are unable to attend, I shall deliver the news to the Marquis. ”

Mischievously said the maid. I looked down at my wet nightgown and thought of an idea. I looked back at Maria and said.

”What makes you think that? Im already ready to head to the dining hall. ”

At the realization of Lilys words, the maids eyes widened and her expression changed quickly to panic. She would have never imagined that Lily would dare show up to her father in her nightgown drenched in water. If the Marquis saw her looking like this then not only her head would be on the line. But her whole relatives too.

The maid had the urge to stop Lily at any cost. Even if it means kneeling down to her. As long as she doesn show up to her father in this hideous look. She was willing to do anything.

”But, you can ! ” The maid said desperately.

”Who are you to tell me, a Forestier not to? ”

The roles had been changed. The maid who was looking down on me is now panicking, while Im looking down on her now.

I was ready to head out of my room while Maria was trembling. I walked towards the door ignoring her. But as soon as I was near the door nib, Maria rushed towards the door, pushing me away and blocking it with her body to trap me in my room with her.

Her push was hard enough to make me drop to the floor. But it didn make me change my mind. This maid has already abused this character since birth. I won give in this easily.

I endured the throbbing pain that was on my back and stood back up from the floor. Maria, who was blocking the door, looked very desperate to trap me in here.

”Move. ”

I said with a harsh tone.

”No.. I won allow you to leave your room Lily! ”

Not only was she impudent, but she was also useless. Someone like her won benefit me at all. Especially since I don know what lies in Lilys future. Thanks to Lilys memories, I know that Lilys father, the marquis, will not forgive anyone who dares lay a hand on me. Even though he doesn like me at all.

Taking advantage of that info, I raised my left hand and placed it on my mouth while the right one was holding my left elbow, I lifted my head up and looked at Maria, I then said in a mischievous voice,

”Thats weird, I never allowed you to call me by my name.. have I? ”

The maids eyes widened, frightened. The maid tried to hide her expression but failed. She then starts biting her own nails. But it didn take that long until she came to the realization and thought to herself.

Why am I scared? Shes just a little girl who can harm me..

The maid, who was frightened a few moments ago, snapped out of fear to look at Lily with a mischievous smile. She thought to herself that she only needed a reason for me to become unable to leave my room.

Watching the maid smile again gave me chills. What exactly is she planning for her to smile like that? Either way, it was bad news for me. I kept my guard up as the maid kept glaring at me. But I didn expect what she was thinking.

With all her strength, the maid kicked me roughly, aiming at my stomach. It was hard enough to knock me back to the ground again.

”Ugh. ”

Her kick was very powerful leaving me with lots of agony and pain. The pain was very severe to the point I couldn stand back up and kept coughing out loud. I kept trying to stand back up while breathing heavily due to the pain in my stomach, I couldn accept defeat. But the pain was irresistible.

I kept coughing and gasping for air as the maid watched me struggle. She kept laughing sarcastically at my ridiculous look.

”HAH.. you should have listened to me when I was nice to you. ”

The maid replied with a mocking face as her arms were tucked in together. She enjoyed watching me suffer in lots of pain. But little did she know that someone else would enter without knocking on the door.

”Excuse me, the Marquis is asking- ”

It was the butler, time has passed since the Marquis asked for my answer. Yet the maid who he sent hasn given him any reply yet.

But to think the butler would find me on the floor drenched in water and gasping for air while holding my stomach with one hand while the other was holding on the floor to balance myself.

”Whats the meaning of this Maria!! ” The butler raged as he looked at the maid.

Maria fell to the ground while trembling in fear again. If she only had told the Marquis that I won attend before executing her plan of mocking me, then this wouldn have happened.

”Its all a misunderstanding!! She poured the water on herself!! I tried to stop her! I swear!! ”

Maria said in a loud tone. If this gets spread out to the Marquiss ears, it will be the end of her.

Maria crawled to the butlers knees, clenching it hard with her bare hands while looking at him from under.

”Please, please believe me!! ”

The butler was speechless. knowing Lily well, she would never pour it on herself. It was obviously a lie. But even though the Marquis didn accept his daughter, he made it clear that any harm towards his daughter would cost them their lives.

The butler looked away from the maid. He clenched his hands while his eyes were closed and pressed his lips into a thin line. The butler felt bitter but he couldn just stand there.

He ignored Maria who was crawling on his feet, begging him to believe her. He looked at Lily who was emotionless as always.

”My lady, it would be best to- ”

As the butler was talking, I interrupted him and said.

”I won change my mind, lets go. ”

”My lady, Please rethink your decision! ”

”I said lets go. ”

A face that has no expression yet eyes filled with death. Thats how the butler saw me as I said those words.

The butler tilted his head slowly and opened the door while Maria, who was on the floor, tried to stop the butler.

”NO, YOU CAN NOT LEAVE!! ITS ALL HER FAULT!! ITS ALL THAT BITCHS FAULT!! ” Maria yelled.

The butler slapped Maria hard on her cheeks, knocking her back on the floor. Shocked, she backed away from him.

”Watch what you say Maria, I can always clean after you. ” said the butler while staring fiercely down at Maria.

Trembling on the floor, Maria couldn reply to him.

The butler turned his back towards her as he was escorting me out. He then mumbles to her, ”I will try my best to buy you some time. ”

Maria, who heard the butlers words, quickly got up and rushed back to her room while I went to face my father in the dining room.

The butler showed me the way to the dining hall and there we met.

We entered the dining hall and there our eyes met. Dark green hair and turquoise eyes, the Forestiers famous hair and eye color.

The food was prepared and untouched. Father, who was waiting for me, looked fiercely at me. It felt like his eyes were piercing through me. While I gave him a dead expression.

Furious at my look, father slams the table and yells ”Why is she soaked in water?! ”

The butler starts trembling at the Marquiss words. He closed his eyes out of fear and looked down. ”She was- ”

The butler was speaking when I suddenly said.

”My personal maid decided to teach me how to behave. She was too kind to even teach me where I belonged. ”

I said while glaring into my fathers eyes and imitating an evil smile on my face. I thought to myself that now after I blew up what Maria did to me, the other maids would get scared and start behaving rather than abusing me.

But what I didn understand was why my fathers anger turned toward me after saying those words.

The Marquis got up from his seat and threw the food that was on the long table. He looked at me fiercely and yelled.

”And you just accepted that? You piece of shit just stood there and took it all?! Are you trying to disgrace the family name?! ”

I stood there speechless. Is he mad at me? Isn he supposed to be mad at the maid?!

”Guards! Bring that bastard to the training grounds with all her family members. ”

At fathers words, the guards went to immediately to search for them, it didn take that long to find them and drag them into the training grounds.

Everyone who was working in the mansion was ordered to come to the training grounds with no exception.

Maria and her family were tied up on the ground.

Maria tried to speak, but she couldn , her mouth was wrapped with a cloth making her unable to talk.

Father got out his sword and went to Marias little brother whom she cherished the most. Father yelled, ”This is the consequence of laying your hands on my daughter! ”

After he made sure everyone heard him. He grabbed his sword and pierced it through her brothers left eye. The scream that followed up shook everyone who was witnessing it.

The maids were trembling in fear, some of them had already lost consciousness. While the guards were trying their best to not react to that horrific scene.

While trying to get the sword out of the boys left eye, his eye had been removed with his sword. The boys scream grew louder. As soon as he did, Father stabbed his right leg.

Maria and both her parents were begging while crying out loud for forgiveness, but Father turned a blind eye to them.

He then switches to Marias mom, leaving her brother wailing in pain. He went behind her and started chopping her fingers and throwing them at Maria.

It was indeed a horrific view to watch, but I couldn understand it..

Everyone is trembling in fear, while some were even crying. It was a nightmare.

I.. I couldn understand it.. I thought to myself. Shouldn I at least feel a little bit of this scaredness? shouldn I at least feel something after watching this?

But I felt nothing at all. I kept looking at Maria and her family being tormented. I watched through it all, from the moment it started until all of Marias family were killed. Maria was the only one left. It was her turn to die. I stared at Maria who looked lifeless.

”Drag her to the basement, ” I said

Everyone was shocked by my sudden words.

What did you say?! ” Father said with anger.

My eyes slowly veered to my father who was glaring at me. His eyes were like a rage of fire. While his clothes were soaked in blood splatters.

”Im tired.. The wind is blowing and Im still soaked in water. Wouldn it be bad if I catch a cold? Do me a favor and don kill her just yet, I want to see her being tormented till dying too. ”

After saying those words, I turned my back slowly and walked away from the scene.

”I will be going to take a bath now and then rest in my room. I don need anyone to attend to me or be near my room. ” I said.

Father, mad at my actions, he slices Maria immediately. ”Whoops.. Looks like you missed your chance to witness her death. ”

I stopped walking to look behind me and Marias head was lying away from her body. Even at that view, I felt nothing at all.. The satisfaction of getting revenge on Maria felt nothing at all.

I turned my head back and continued walking. ”Oh my, such a shame. I was looking forward to it. ”

It was indeed a shame. I wanted Maria to go insane before she died, or at least for hem to take action. Especially that one maid who looked calm but was intensely glaring at me.

Lily, it looks like you have lots of garbage that must be thrown away.
