Chapter 7 – Going to Fu Family’s Home

When Shen QingLan returned to the school dorm, there was only one person left, and she was on the opposite side of hers.
There were 4 people lived in their room, the three of them were locals, including Shen QingLan.
Only Wu Qian who wasn’t from around here.
Apart from winter and summer holiday, she didn’t go back home often.
And she was basically working during the weekend.

Will you accompany your grandpa tomorrow?”

Grandpa Fu’s grandson? Fu HengYi? She remembered meeting this man in the restaurant, Shen QingLan’s beautiful eyes sparked and her voice sounded out.

“Yes Grandpa, I’ll accompany you.”Shen QingLan took over the scissor in Grandpa Shen’s hand and helped him trimming the branches under Grandpa Shen’s guidance.

As they were busying themselves in the garden, Chu YunRong and Shen XiTong had returned home.

“Mom, the color of the dress you bought today is so pretty.
You have to know that when you walked out of the dressing room the assistant asked me if you are my sister.
I said that you are my mother, but she still didn’t believe it, and think that I swindled her.” Shen XiTong’s happy voice sounded out clearly even trough a close door.

Chu YunRong smiled.
“Oh you have such a mouth, that dress is indeed very beautiful, my daughter’s eyes are good.”

The duo mother-daughter talked passionately, they didn’t even notice the two other people who just came inside.
Until Shen XiTong finally noticed them first.

“Grandpa, QingLan, you came just in time, mom and I just finished shopping and bought some clothes for you.” Shen XiTong took out a dark brown shirt from the shopping bag and gave it to Grandpa Shen.
“Grandpa, I choose it for you, do you like it?”

Grandpa Shen calmly nodded and said.

Shen XiTong heard the words and smiled sweetly.
“It’s good that you like it.” After said it, she took out another thing from the bag, a pale pink dress.
“QingLan, this is what mom choose for you, she saw this and choose it right away for you.
How is it do you like it?”

Shen QingLan’s eyes fell on the dress, the sleeveless dress, with no complicated pattern on the skirt but there was an enormous white peony on the waist, making the dress looked pure.
But this dress looked very similar to the one Shen XiTong was wearing right now.

“QingLan, do you like the dress?” Chu YunRong looked at Shen QingLan, there was a touch of nervousness in her eyes, as Grandpa Shen’s words last night were still in her mind.

Shen QingLan reached out and took the dress.
“I like it very much, thank you mom.” There was no extra words, and her eyes were calm and still, like there was no apparent like or dislike.

Chu YunRong saw her daughter attitude, her mood became weaken.

Grandpa Fu was looking at Shen QingLan, and couldn’t help to drool.

Fortunately, Grandpa Fu’s intention wasn’t known to Grandpa Shen.
Otherwise, the two old man would surely fight with each other.
Your grandson was already 31, and my granddaughter was only 21, the age gap between your grandson and my granddaughter was so wide, he might possible be her uncle, but your grandson was shameless enough spouting this nonsense?

Shen QingLan didn’t know what Grandpa Fu was thinking in his heart.
She just noticed that Grandpa Fu was staring at her for a while, with a happy face.
After a while his gaze darkened, as he realized he couldn’t meet the expectation that he wanted.
As his face was looking as serene as it could be, but in his heart he couldn’t help but to rant about it.

Grandpa Fu didn’t accompany them for too long, he quickly made an excuse to go to the bathroom, to call back his grandson, and threaten him that he must back at home in half an hour.
After that he shouted at Grandpa Shen to accompany him to play chess.

Originally Grandpa Shen didn’t intend to stay at Fu Family’s house for a long time.
He and Shen QingLan had to go to the hospital to accompany his wife.
But now Grandpa Fu kept pestering him to stay, as he realize that this old man usually alone at home, because his only son and daughter-in-law had left them early, his daughter was also already married and rarely came back home, and his only grandson was in the army and couldn’t come back home much.
